My grandmother is 80+ y/o. She lives in Louisiana with my father . Over the past 2 years she’s had 2 open heart surgeries and a pacemaker. She keeps collecting fluid around her heart and in her leggs( She’s also a diabetic). Lately she’s been in and out of the hospitial and my dad is becoming unable to take care of her. Now, she has no strength at all. She’s been falling, she can’t even turn herself over in the bed anymore. My father pours concrete for a living and it requires him to be gone during the daytime hours. He’s living paycheck to paycheck so if he stays home to take care of her they would literally be homeless. Just in case u were wondering, I’m no way n a position 2 contribute. Can anyone suggest a program of some sort that we can look n2, 2 try to get a nurse 2 come and sit with her during the day. She has medicad and it won’t cover that. If there is ever a fire r anything she won’t be able to move. It kills me that I can’t help her, she deserves so more
